Date: February 08, 2022

The Gadfly Project is pleased to announce a Q4 2021 in-kind grant to The University of Fiji. In the wake of the recent devastating cyclone and neighboring triple threat of the Tongan volcano/earthquake/tsunami, The University of Fiji demonstrates its resilience as it embarks on this software development collaboration.

The grant will be used to create a digital HR platform and portal. This development aligns with current Gadfly Project Grant technology and climate initiatives. The platform will provide the University with modernized work flows, enhanced virtual access, and less natural resource consumption as it moves toward its goal of paperless HR operations. With this software project, the University of Fiji advances its pursuit of environmental good stewardship, supportive actions for its human resources, and upholds one of its central tenets of being "future ready".

About The Gadfly Project
Our actions are guided by our values. We believe in the importance of a sustainable future and environmental responsibility. Through technology, we are dedicated to protecting the environment and our people. We are steadfast in the belief that we can combat global climate change while simultaneously encouraging job growth. As technological advances are made daily, it becomes more and more apparent that technology can and will be a vital instrument for saving our planet. Our organization is committed to being a part of that movement.
We are making available in-kind grants for organizations seeking to implement a software initiative in the fields of environmental protection and climate change mitigation. This grant is available to organizations both international and domestic with a focus on environmental protection and sustainability. The project should be used to either benefit the environment or advance the organization's capacity to do so. In addition, The Gadfly Project also has other grant initiatives addressing commerce, human rights, health, Covid19 relief and action, commerce/enterprise, and technology innovations.
